Competition

Competitions will take place in venues carefully selected to provide the best possible conditions for athletes and spectators alike. Each site reflects the host country’s commitment to university sport, offering high-quality facilities in a setting designed for international events.

Competition format

A maximum of 32 teams per competition (women pairs, men pairs and mixed pairs) will be accepted. If the registration exceeds the maximum number, a team selection will be organised. If approved by FISU, FIP and the Organising Committee, more participants may be accepted.
Mixed pairs can be composed by players also competing in the Men and Women pairs tournaments.

The delegations will have a maximum composition of 12 athletes (6 men & 6 women) per delegation divided into 2 men´s team, 2 women´s team and 2 mixed teams.

All events are full ranking tournaments, meaning that teams will compete for every position in the final standings, except in the mixed category, where no further matches will be played after elimination.

Trainings

It will be possible for delegations training facilities to 2 days prior to the start of the event.
