The FISU World University Championship Padel 2026 has entered its decisive stage following Thursday’s quarter-final matches across all three competition categories. The semifinal line-up is now complete, with the tournament set to continue on Friday before Saturday’s finals.

Despite the high temperatures, the atmosphere on and around the courts remained outstanding throughout the day, with high-quality matches and excellent sportsmanship displayed by all participating delegations. The day’s programme will conclude with the Official Reception Ceremony at the Rectorate Building of the University of Málaga.

Women’s Competition

The women’s semifinals will feature teams representing Spain, France and Italy, highlighting the competitive balance of the tournament. One of the day’s most exciting matches required a three-set comeback, while the remaining quarter-finals were decided in straight sets.

Mixed Competition

The mixed event will showcase representatives from four different countries in the semifinals: Spain, France, the Netherlands and Italy. The quarter-finals delivered several closely contested matches and demonstrated the depth of talent across the international field.

Men’s Competition

In the men’s draw, Spain and Italy will each be represented by two pairs in the semifinals after successfully advancing through the quarter-finals, setting up two highly anticipated encounters.

The Final Stretch

Friday’s schedule will feature the semifinal matches in all three categories, together with the consolation draw. The championship will conclude on Saturday with the finals, where the new FISU World University Champions will be crowned.

The FISU World University Championship Padel 2026 is being held at the PSM Fantasy venue, which features 12 indoor courts. The event brings together delegations from around twenty countries, reflecting the rapid international growth of university padel.

A total of 121 university student-athletes and 36 team officials are taking part in the championship. The tournament includes 88 pairs: 30 men’s, 28 women’s and 30 mixed, providing a highly competitive environment that showcases the next generation of international padel talent.
